The Bethlen Gábor College in Aiud has undergone a major renovation in recent years. The Bethlen Gábor Foundation, as a supporting institution of the college, has contributed to a large extent to these renovation works and investments through its applications.
A particularly important role was played by the invitational application submitted to the BGA ZRT in 2019, which helped to contribute to the operation and development of the college in three major areas.
First of all, the installation and expansion of the Internet network in the college and in the associated accommodation. This modernisation was much needed, as it made it possible to use the educational equipment that our institution already had. At the same time, it also contributed effectively to the teaching, learning and even research processes for which Internet access is now essential.
The second segment of the application was the redesign and installation of the lighting in the halls of the college. This is important because the assembly hall is a community space of the Bethlen Gábor College, where different events and theatre performances can be seen. What is more, a state-of-the-art lighting equipment clearly contributes to raising the level of theatre productions.
The third segment, to which the Bethlen Gábor Foundation of Aiud contributed to the development of the college through the aforementioned grant, is a contribution to the utility bills, more specifically, the grant was used to pay the gas bill of the college for one winter month.
In conclusion, the application announced by the BGA Zrt. has provided a great improvement for the entire student body of the Bethlen Gábor College, its teachers, the Hungarian community of Aiud and the surrounding community.
