The Bethlen Gábor Foundation of Aiud also received support in the year 2022 in the framework of the “National Restart Programme I”, a call for proposals launched by the Bethlen Gábor Fund Management Ltd. on behalf of the State Secretariat for National Policy of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Under the programme, we applied for funding for our educational activities, including our operating expenses.
The grant awarded by the Foundation was used in accordance with the planned conditions. Consequently, the grant was used to cover the operating expenses of the Foundation, the back office of the Bethlen Gábor College, more specifically the gross salary of the office manager and the accountant under a service contract, thus reducing the Foundation’s expenditure burden, which is of great importance for sustainability.
Thanks to the grant, we have been able to reimburse nearly 3 months’ gross salary and nearly two months’ accountancy fees. By reducing what are considered fixed costs, we can spend more money on the college as needed.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the State Secretariat for National Policy of the Prime Minister’s Office for its continued support for our prosperity in our homeland, as the cultivation and development of multifaceted relations contributes to strengthening our sense of Hungarian identity.
In summary, in order for the Bethlen Gábor Foundation to play a major role in the financial support of the renovation and maintenance of the long-established college and to effectively carry out its further support activities, it is essential that the foundation, as a self-sustaining background institution, has a solid foundation, which is why it was important to use the grant for operating expenses.
