Szőcs Ildikó graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry and Physics of Babes-Bolyai University in 1991. The same year she was appointed to the chemistry-physics faculty of the Bethlen Gábor College in Aiud. From 1997 to 2000 she was deputy director, and since 2005 he has been the director of the college. Since 2005 he has been President of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation, established in 2000.
In recognition of her work in the school and in the diaspora, she has been awarded the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary (2011), the Bethlen Prize of the Synod of the Reformed Church (2014), and the Silver Pine Prize of the RMDS (2014).
