Project Report of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation
Introduction
For more than two decades, the Bethlen Gábor Foundation has been supporting the educational and formative activities carried out within the college. The objective of the foundation’s current project is to support the operation of the college and the development of its material infrastructure, of which a smaller part of the planned costs is allocated to the foundation’s operational activities, while a larger part is directed toward the development expenses of the college.
Acquisitions implemented within the project:
Modernization and replacement of furniture in the boys’ dormitory:
A total of 30 new wardrobes and beds were purchased, through which all rooms in the boys’ dormitory were modernized. The aim of this development was to provide students with a more modern, orderly, and comfortable living environment that supports peaceful study and daily rest. The new furniture significantly improves both the comfort and the aesthetic appearance of the dormitory.
The developments are sustainable in the long term and contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the college at local and regional level.
Project operating costs and other supported areas:
Part of the planned costs included financing the gross salary of the employed assistant for 10 months, as well as the payment of accounting services for a period of 5 months. These operating expenses ensure the uninterrupted performance of the foundation’s daily administrative tasks and indirectly contribute to the professional implementation of the project.
Within the project, utility costs were also covered, in particular the payment of gas bills necessary to ensure the heating of the college, to which an amount of 2,000,000 HUF was contributed. This support helped ensure comfortable conditions during the winter season for both boarding students and staff.
In addition, maintenance costs required for the upkeep of the modernized sports field were also included among the supported areas. The continuous maintenance of the sports field ensures the long-term usability of the infrastructure.
Conclusion
The project of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation has significantly contributed to improving the efficiency of the college’s operations and the living conditions of its students. The infrastructure developments serve long-term objectives, while the measures supporting the foundation’s operations ensure its continued efficiency in the future.
We would like to express our gratitude to the State Secretariat for National Policy of the Prime Minister’s Office for its support!
