The 25th anniversary celebration in honor of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation in Aiud

This year marked a special milestone in the life of our community: the Bethlen Gábor Foundation’s jubilee celebration took place in a welcoming and respectful atmosphere, focusing on decades of service, care for values, and dedication to the community

From October 23 to 24, 2025, the Bethlen Gábor Foundation in Aiud celebrated its 25th anniversary with a series of jubilee events. During this time, we reflected on memories of the past, recognized today’s contributors, and looked together toward the future. For 25 years, our foundation has served the community by carrying forward and strengthening the spirit and values of the Bethlen Gábor College, supporting education and culture.

Everyone who has played an important role in the life of the Foundation was invited to the celebration:

our supporters, who have ensured our operations over the years through their financial and moral support
our godparents, who stood behind our students, taking on a caring role in the noblest sense
our students, for whom and because of whom all of this has been possible.

During the event, the history of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation was recalled, we honored its founding members, and recognized all those who, through their work, loyalty, and dedication over the years, contributed to the continuity of the community. The celebration was enriched with musical and professional presentations, greetings, as well as personal recollections from our students and meetings within the talent workshops.

The jubilee also provided an opportunity to showcase the work of the Foundation’s talent workshops, which over the years have offered countless young people opportunities to develop. The goal of these talent development programs is to help every student find the area where they can fully develop their abilities—whether in science, the arts, or community activities.

The first day of the jubilee celebration

The events of the first day appropriately reflected decades of dedicated work and the community-building mission. The program included greetings, a substantive presentation, and personal recollections. We honored the founders and members, our supporters, and the leaders of the talent workshops, who received honorary certificates in recognition of their work for the Foundation. The celebration was made even more special by performances from the Fügevirág Folk Dance Group and the Cantus Princeps Choir, which created a joyful and festive atmosphere.

The second day of the jubilee celebration

The second day focused on talent, music, and community. After performances by the Fordított Patkó and Kalamajka theater groups, meetings of the talent workshops took place. In the short film “A kőszívű ember özvegye”, students of the Bethlen Gábor College showcased their acting skills under the guidance of professor Nagy Egon. The evening concluded with a wonderful performance by the Gyertyaláng Youth Band, captivating the audience, followed by a standing reception where all participants celebrated together the strength of the community and the shared achievements of recent years.
