In the 2024/25 academic year, we received a grant of 10,000 RON from the Communitas Foundation. This amount is being used to reduce the operational costs of the Bethlen Gábor Foundation.
As a background institution supporting the dormitory, our activities have become increasingly diverse over the years. Our work includes financial and academic support for students, preserving the quality of mother-tongue education, organizing cultural programs, and maintaining active communication with our supporters. In addition, the renovation and modernization of the building have become priorities, which is why we established a dedicated office to manage the foundation’s operations.
Maintaining the foundation’s headquarters and covering the costs of teacher apartments owned by the foundation place a considerable financial burden on us. These expenses include telephone and internet services, property insurance, taxes, and office supplies. Utility costs—especially during the winter months—are ongoing, and the foundation also covers the heating of both the office and the training kitchen. The kitchen is primarily used by students in the waiter–cook training program, so it is essential that we provide a properly heated environment for them, which represents a significant cost.
The grant has helped us to ease these financial burdens. As a result, we are able to support participation fees for events and competitions organized in the dormitory and redirect other financial resources directly toward the benefit of our students.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Communitas Foundation for their support, which has enabled our foundation to operate on more stable ground and significantly reduce our financial strain.
